Jimmy Song explains why BTC can do more good for people than NGOs and governments

During an interview with Cheddar, one of the best known Bitcoin Core developers, Jimmy Song, has explained why he believes BTC will do more good for humanity than governments or NGOs.

Song began by talking about fiat. He explained that the amount of money that flows into governments and business is because they had early access to the inflated money. Whereas with Bitcoin, the digital asset gives people a sense of control over “their own stuff” as it provides users with the ability to control their own money.

“… And they [people] start planning on a long-term level. And the playing field is much more level than the system we have today, which is made mostly to benefit large institutions, banks, governments, large companies that can get really low-interest rates and so on.”

Song explains that Bitcoin has led to a rise in entrepreneurship which in turn leads to job and wealth creation which, according to the developer, is why Bitcoin can do more for people that NGOs and governments.

Jimmy Song recently took a swing at EOS, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Roger Ver. He said that EOS is a scam, Bitcoin Cash “has no reason to exist,” ETH is “the wrong tool for the job,” and finally about the failed debate with Roger Ver.
